If this is Sunday, this must be MacOS.

In the span of the past 24 plus hours, I've had reason to be on a Windows 2000 desktop PC, a Windows XP laptop, another Windows 2000 PC, and now a G5 Macintosh Desktop. As a good geek, I wanted to see how the Movable Type system looked and felt at each stop.

Not much to comment on, really. The one thing I do notice just now is that the buttons on this page that I couldn't figure out how to work on any of my Windows machines are not even showing up at all here in Safari.

One thing I will credit web applications with is the freedom to do exactly what I've done today and yesterday - access a store of information from whatever machine is handy, regardless of the OS that gets you to the door.

Kind of makes me want to dust off the Java books and write some dinky little applet games for the browser. I lie down and those feelings tend to pass.

Tired of Dinking

I hereby christen the color scheme "good enough", and will now proceed to dump some thoughts elsewhere in my self-styled hierarchy of nonsense.

First Post

This is my first entry in my first MovableType Weblog.

There's really not much to see here, but good grief, what an awkward installation procedure. I think I've got things running. If you're reading this, then yes, I suppose I do.

Ok, setting up the correct paths to the archive directory was a little confusing, but the configuration of the backend is now complete (pathnames and whatnot).

Now I can get started working on dinking around with the color scheme and assorted nonsense like that.
